The target creature permanently loses 2d4 character levels, +1d4 per 10 caster levels above 20, reaching 6d4 at level 60. The caster also gains a temporary caster level, lasting 10 rounds. No more than 3 temporary caster levels may be had at any one time. They act as normal caster levels, increasing the potency, penetration, and duration of spells. Each temporary caster level gained this way also increases the DC of spells cast by 1.
