The target creature takes 1d6 points of damage per 2 caster levels (reaching 30d6 at caster level 60). This damage is then applied to the caster's hit points as a temporary bonus. You can't gain more temporary hit points than what is required to kill the target (target's current hit points +10).
Will use half the casters STR modifier as the feat bonus to Spell Penetration if this would exceed the casters normal bonus from Spell Penetration feats. When cast by a Lvl 60 Bane Knight it becomes a medium area of effect spell.
