All creatures caught in the area of effect take 1d8 points of negative energy damage, +1 per caster level. At caster level 21, the damage increases to 1d8, +2 per caster level. All creatures caught in the area also lose 1 point of Strength per 4 caster levels if they fail their save. Negative energy spells have a reverse effect on undead, healing instead of harming them.
